JUst got it, it looks just like a certain Vernon editor ( the one eith the on off switch in the lower right corner....this looks like the Elmo 912 but the plastic vented piece where the bulb is wont budge, I have the original box but no manual can't find one on line.

If it's like the ELMO 912, you pull the housing straight towards yourself to remove it. I could e-mail you the manual for the Elmo 912. PM me if you need it....

This style editor/viewers was sold under several brand names and made in Japan by Sansei Koki (Goko, Argus, Sun-Star, JC Penney, Elmo...) Joe has described how to remove the plastic lens housing. Here's a photo. It should just slide off. Try rocking it from side to side as you pull towards you. If it is stuck you might try prying it with a small screwdriver.
