Yeah, me too, In Super 8 - Cheers, Shorty

Actually the Chuck Workman film is called "Precious Images" (-but Derann called it "Reflections USA")
Precious Images
Pieces of Silver was produced by Kodak. Derann also sold it and described it like this:
"PIECES OF SILVER Made by Kodak to celebrate 100 years of film production this short celebrates with a collection of fast moving clips. 1 x 200`. Col. Price Code E"
I understand the confusion! I saw "Silver" at CineSea last time and it reminded me a lot of "Images".

I am almost sure I still have a print of this on 16mm . I will check in next day or so and if I have I will sell

Thank you David! Fingers crossed here!
Steve, I was under the impression that Chuck made/edited this piece for Kodak

Evan,
I did some research and your impression is good! Chuck Workman did "Pieces of Silver" for Kodak a couple of years after "Precious Images".
-I should have suspected as much: when I saw "Pieces of Silver" I noticed there were at least a few of the little snips that were identical.
Let's put it this way too: If you managed to find "Precious Images" (or "Reflections USA" in Derannese) instead, you'd be happy with that too.

No word from David yet, so I am still looking
Steve, I have seen his other shorts and definitely enjoyed his edits. I recognized a few similarities in his cuts as well. However Pieces of Silver has to be my favorite from him

It appears David is not interested in selling at the moment...
I am still looking... anyone? =D

I found Precious Images in Lou Franchetti's Super-8 crates at CineSea.
-so you never know!

I believe I may have this on S8 on a full 200ft reel. If I do it will probably go into eBay soon so I will post a link if that's the case

Hey Alan,
Thanks! I've been keeping an eye on it. I actually sent the seller a message a few days before the listing asking him about it (since he posted another Chuck edit). He implied that he had it and might sell one day..... then it went up! I messaged him again but unfortunately he did not want to even consider a buy it now price.
Could anyone give me an idea of what a fair price for this title should run me?
Also, please correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that there may be prints of this title floating around with poor sound. (I think I read multiple posts regarding that concern)
Thanks!

The sound on mine is a bit on the "muffled" side. Not the best sound from Derann!

Evan. I believe I did ! Wouldn't be so rude as to ignore it
Just checked. Apologies. What I did was reply to the email I was sent which turned out to be the forum alerting me to your PM! So it turns out I replied to myself not to you!!!!!

Haha, completely understandable. I caught myself doing the same thing a few times! You have a New PM now

Persistence was the key Steve.
Someone on the forum told me I should show no shame, and bother people until I find what I'm looking for haha

Did you see that mint optical Grizzly Adams on Guy Taylor's table?
-said it was mint, but I get wary when films are priced that cheap (............... )
Really it's tough to believe it when your ship finally comes in. I bought a silent print when I was 17 years old because Super-8 sound was something I was sure I'd never have. When I was 40 I got a sound machine and regretted the choice. A couple of months ago I saw a sound print of the same film just too cheap. (Not enough to buy a pizza!)
-thougth someone was playing some kind of sick joke!
I bought it, I got it, it's basically perfect.
Can't be that simple! Any day now it'll probably spontaneously burst into flames!
I just know it: the Fire Marshall will be sifting through the ashes of my house and his report will say "-because you were too cheap to buy a sound print in 1979."

Haha, Unless it is on nitrate stock I would hope you would be safe against instant combustion!
I saw it on the list. We should have asked for a preview!
