Lovely little cartoon which, for some odd reason, they released in a cut-down 4 minute version, (if this was also released by them as a full 7 minute cartoon, please let me know!) ...
I would LOVE to find this cartoon, either the standard 8mm or super 8mm sound colour edition ... with great unfaded colour!

OSI, Who released this film? I my self never seen it!

This was a British company that original released this in 1959, by name of "Halas & bachelor" and most people know them today for they're classic animated feature from around the same time ...
Animal Farm! (a very rare super 8 feature, by the way) ...
I have always loved the animated style of this short, as it has a very modern graphic style and yet, doesn't detract from the story as some modern graphic cartoons do.

I will be on the look out for it! It sounds interesting!

Here is an actual 16MM print being screened! At least it doesn't have all the splices to it and cuts in the sound.
I think that the video capture isn't too good, as a number of colors look just right, but everything around the projected screen, is reddish as well.

I have it on 16mm. Colour wise very similar to the one in the Youtube video that Osi posted. If anyone wants it, I would be happy to sell it.

Rob ...
Could you possibly put up some direct screenshots from the print? That video from that other print shows a red print, but I don't think it's indicative of the prints actual color ...
So, I'd love to see some screenshots from yours ... if possible.

Osi. Took me a aeon to find that in good shape on Super 8 but its been a favourite here for such a long time, childhood and all that. I have a good colour print which will see me out but I have a good B&W boxed one as well so if you get desperate I could let the B&W go. Pm me if of interest always happy to help. May take me a couple of days to get to it its at the back of the archive.

Thanks for the thought Lee, but I already have a standard 8mm with colour that has a slight fade, but I'd love to find a good colour print. What is the film stock on you're good colour print?
