Hi Louis
If you can't find that timer for timelape here is a tip for you.
Build one from a velleman kit

It is fairly easy and works well with the electronic release socket on the camera.

I may have one...from the Canon 514XL Super 8 camera. Possibly all the Canons used the same device. I can check the manual.

I've made one from the Vellmann kit, it works fine.
Sankyo, Sponden, Rowi, and no doubt other manufacturers also made intervalometers that will work fine.
The electronic remote connection which the Canons use is found in plenty of other Super 8 cameras. The connector is a relatively easy to obtain 2.5mm Microjack - not to be confused with the 'Walkman' headphone sized 3.5mm Minijack.
