I got a call from Film and Video Transfers in Northridge California, They have a few really big super-8 movie reels available. I think they said they were 1600 footers??? (that seems kind of big, as in what projector can play that length?) Please verify the size of the 8mm reel before you order them or get them for just shipping costs. They probably can be had for a song and shipping.

Alessandro: actual 1600ft spools will fit on Beaulieu and Fumeo projectors, or on Long-play units. Biggest super 8 reels are 2200 ft. Then, there are Supaspools that are the size of 1200ft reels with smaller cores. They will usually hold between 1400 and 1500 ft of film.
