Hello john,
The silver model is a higher specification than the black model,what the difference is the silver models have true twin track playback monitor outputs which can be sent to a stereo amp as two separate tracks thus effectively makes it a stereo playback machine,the normal ST600 plays back the twin tracks only as a single mono output.Hope this helps,
