Hi, love the forum, this is my first post.

I'm looking to buy a Super 8 Sound Movie Projector. Looking for a quality serviced projector (New belts,bulb,lube, etc...)

I'm willing to go up to $300.00 to get something decent.

Specific features I'm interested in...

* Super 8 Sound Projector
* Working Bulb
* New Belts, Lubed, etc...
* At Least 400 ft take up reel.
* Audio out capabilities to run to an external speaker.
* Auto load
* This is NOT for converting movies to DVD but for solely watching home movies and (Ken, Castle, Blackhawk) style films.
* I'm open to possibly a Dual 8 Sound Projector, but probably only a Eumig for a dual.
*At least a seven day return policy*

Thanks!

Tim

Hi Timothy - I have a few Sankyo 500 Super 8 Sound projectors that I use and have great regards for them - They offer everything that you are looking for - They are very easy to operate and they are VERY GENTLE on film !!! If you're interested in one of them let me know - We could let the boys and girls in the forum give you some advice about these fine work horses and let the forum members figure out a decent price for you and me - Let me know what you think - Ray

Thanks for the kind words!

The Sankyo's seem to be fine projectors. I have a gentleman that's relatively close to me and has a Bell and Howell 36SR. Any thoughts? I also know the the audio out is for a two pin din jack. Anyone know if you can still find those cables?

The two pin din is a speaker output; not the best place to yake out audio if you are looking for sound quality through an external amplifier.
Radio Shack should be able to supply the plugs, though.
Martin.

Hi, Timothy,

Radio Shacks here in the Atlanta area do not have the 2-pin dins. I ordered mine from a website in Great Britain. Just do a google search and one will come up.

Thanks Dan-

Do you happen to know a model or product number? Or what kind of TPD it is?

Thanks again-

Tim
