Hi Mark,

A few weeks back a seller with Ebay ID: martin3451 offered many GS1200 which I think he stripped form several machines. I managed to get from him a full body part of GS1200.

Mark-Which part is the motor board. I have a spare machine that I've been taking parts off, however, there are not many boards left. If you can post the motor board I can look when I get home.

Mark,

I have had the same problem before. There is a multi prong plug on the motor board. Try unpluging the multi prong and spraying it with contact cleaner. This may rectify the problem.

Thanks Dan, I had heard of this problem on a Spanish lanquage site (used Google to translate) At the moment a genius work colleague is attending to replacing the various components on the motorboard. Say Dan, did I buy The Bounty from you around Christmas 2009, optical sound etc?

Mark,

The Bounty? Could be, I sold two optical copies around that time. Great movie!

Out of curiosity why don't order the motor board from FFR? The spare machine I have doesn't have this.

Projector running absolutely fine now, turned out the 720 Resistor on the motor board had failed. Thanks to my colleague in the technical department at UWE who painstakingly fault chewcked all the components, cheers Richard. And a thank you to Kevin! So pleased to see this projector restired to full health.
