Has anyone got a spare or unwanted unfaded copy for sale?

I think it was a Red Fox or Canterbury release.

I'm afraid mine isn't for sale but I can confirm that it was a Red Fox release. It was perhaps surprising that when Derann re-released quite a bit of Red Fox product, they didn't appear to have the negative to this release, as I'm sure they would have added it to their Hammer range if they had.

No probs Pasquale [Smile]

Adrian-I actually got my original copy from Derann sold as an import when they did an exhibition in Kensington,London many years ago which I think was sponsored by Film Making magazine.

I was working on the Movie Den stall and the owner Tom Hood brought my a copy along with a trailer of Young Frankenstein for helping him out,I wish I had kept both now [Frown]

I have always had a thing for this film because it was actually the first Hammer Dracula film I ever saw as a kid, and I still remember the review I read because it said, "The film depicts a swinging London that doesn't seem to actually exist." Did they ever release a full length with their Hammer films?

Dino,

I don't believe this was ever released as a feature. I have what appears to be a bootleg version. Picture quality is dark and contrasty and it was done using 50ft rolls of Super 8mm, since there's an edit every two minutes and 30 seconds!

I would love to have a print of the "Horror Ritual" that preceded showings of the film, with Barry Atwater (The Night Stalker) leading the audience in reciting an oath to join the Count Dracula Society....."So help me, Christopher Lee!"

The only trailers that have the intro "Join me in the Horror Ritual"
are the ones for"Scars of Dracula" & "Horror of Frankenstein", and
that's the only line Barry got to say on the print I have Doug.

Doug - interesting to hear about your ultra-rare AD72 bootleg - I used to have 'Horror of Dracula' (US version) via the equivalent type of print. Sync was far from perfect.

I too would love to have the full 'HorroRitual' on film. I have twice seen 35mm prints of it on eBay and if I could acquire a good copy, I would even go to the expense of getting it transferred to 16mm in order to add it to my 16mm feature.
