I have two of these. Both are in pretty good condition. Power up, but make noises like "I NEED OIL...".
Similar unit can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JYfflV_ci0 (not my movie)
Are they "junk or jewels"?
I am playing with the world of "telecine". Are there any parts inside that could be of value if the units were just parted out?
Please advise...
They each weigh about 17 pounds. Shipping looks expensive.

These are now being offered free to a good home.
I'm not going to destroy them if anyone else can use them.
Just pay shipping...

Assuming the box size to be 12x18x24, and the weight to be 25 lbs, then UPS ground looks to be about $35.00 - based on the ups.com tool. This approach has me boxing it and delivering it to a UPS store, which I don't mind doing...
Look around. My zip is 35242.
PS - that's for 1 projector.

- bump -
I am bumping this post to offer these units FREE to a good home. (You pay the freight.)
It looks like shipping is prohibitive here - but, one never knows. (I am in zip code 35242)
Unless I get a taker in the next few days, I will part these things out.
