I have up for sale my very rare and beautifully performing Schneider 1.1 lens made specifically for the Elmo GS and ST series machines.
This one needs no sleeve and fits right into the machines with no modifications.
The advantage to this lens over the standard Elmo 1.1 is the coating on this lens is more of a bluer nature so the images have a cooler look i.e. whiter whites which is always a plus.
Also its starts at 11mm so it can get a bigger picture than the Elmo 1.1 which is a 12.5mm.
Cosmetic condition is good. There is a little bit of paint wear on the barrel.
Optically this is a fantastic performer. Better than the 1.1 Elmo and almost as bright as the 1.0. But of course easier to focus.
I am only selling this as I only have one GS1200 left and it is paired with the 1.0 and while I LOVE this lens it needs a new home. The 1.0 is staying on the GS. [Smile]

Price for this is $250 and I will ship in the USA for Free and overseas a flat rate of $25.
And as you know..not many of these were made so the quality of this one is A+. I found it to be MUCH better than the Elmo 1.1.

As always would love for a fellow collector to get this and to bypass Ebay.

I would still like a standard fitting spare of these in the future for my projector if you ever come across one Rik.
I know Jon Addams may have one to sell me in the future hopefully, but if he decides not to sell, I am always on the lookout in the future.

I really like these particular lenses.

Films made it onto the delivery van no problem Rik!

It is better than the Elmo f1.1 IMHO but won't be better than your f1.0 Paul, just much easier to keep in focus. As Rik points out it might even give you a slightly whiter image due to the difference in the coating between the two lenses.

I had a f1.0 many years ago as it was already in an ST1200 when I purchased it first time around in the hobby.
As I say, it was many years ago, so I cannot intercompare nowadays as I don't have the machine now, off memory though the f1.0 was a very good sharp lens indeed but then so are these IMHO if you buy a good one.

My projector due to it's design differences doesn't drift where focus is concerned even between different film stocks on the same reel like a trailer reel for example, I don't however believe I could get a much sharper image than I do though.

Andrew is correct. This is a VERY good lens but not as good as my 1.0. However I have to say it was better than a few 1.0 lenses I used to have! If you do a search you will see that I kept this one over 2x1.0 lenses I used to own. But I finally found a new 1.0 lens in the box and it was killer.
This is much better than the 1.1 Elmo and a little brighter. If I had another GS or ST that is where this lens would stay but since I only have one, it would be better for someone else to enjoy this phenomenal lens.

Admittedly, as we all know, this was taken from one of THE very best Derann Super 8mm prints but just looking through Riks film as I speak and it's every bit as good!

Yes the Schneider lens is a great piece of glass. I am not so impressed with the Elmo 1.1 lens but I have been told that the quality of those lenses tends to differ from batch to batch.

Yes I agree both the Elmo 1.0,s and the 1.1s both vary lens to lens, some times very much. You can often get a rotter if unlucky.

I also feel the 1.1 is better for B+W than the 1.0.

Hello all. The potential buyer I had held the lens for had an emergency and could not complete the sale so the lens is back up for sale. Bluer than the warm Elmo lens this renders the colors whiter..without the need for Xenon!
