Does anyone have both 8mm/standard 8mm sprockets for Eumig 824?

I thought the standard 8 sprockets were built into the machime and cannot be removed

Not at all. They're interchangeable with super 8 sprockets as the 700 and other 800 series.

Graham is correct.
Page 3 of my 824 sonomatic instructions on changing gauge :-
"Open the sprocket guards and pull off the sprockets. (The sprockets for Standard 8 film are permanently built-in underneath.)"
The Super 8 toothed ring pulls off the reveal the standard 8 teeth already in position.

If memory serves I seem to remember that the early 824's did have interchangeable sprockets and the later machines were as Graham and Maurice describe.

I well remember when I first came across the fixed Eumig standard 8 sprockets.
I had bought an 810D LUX. On unpacking the projector I discovered that the standard 8 sprockets were missing. I blasted off an email to the seller.
He replied that the standard 8 sprockets were fixed and to reach them all I had to do was to gently pull off the Super 8 sprocket rings and I would then find the captive standard 8 sprockets.
So when I bought the 824 I was not surprised to find the same situation.

I've never come across an earlier 824 with built in types. The ones I've had were the sprockets that pulled off as the 700 and 800 series which leads me back to the two 8mm sprockets I need for this machine.

Bolex bought all the remaining Eumig spares and still sells them. You may ask Bolex if they have the sprockets you are looking for but keep in mind that they are located in Switzerland and that everything is expensive there http://www.bolex.ch/NEW/?p=1

Just to clear any confusion up.

On the later versions of the Eumig 810D up to the 824 Sonomatic the 2 Standard 8mm drive sprockets were left permanently in position and retained by two little black clips. The Super 8 ones just clipped over the top of the Std 8's making for simpler design and less chance of loosing the Std 8 older removable type.
A good idea as these days how often to we see projectors missing these parts. [Frown]
