Decided to go for it with my Mag optical st160.
But need a transformer from a spares 600 elmo please.
Anyone got one please.
Or a 120 transformer would be handy, just missed a cheap one on ebay.
But the best job would be a 600 foot elmo transformer please.
Thanks Mark.

Hi Mark,
This isn't exactly the help you need, but are you sure the existing transformer is bad?
For example have you measured the line voltage directly at the primary windings but nothing on any secondary?
Just as good: you take an ohmmeter reading of any winding and you see an open circuit.
Sure, transformers go bad, but they are probably the most reliable and rugged part in the box.
(Looks like a long afternoon in surgery too!)

Hi Steve well its 125 or 100 volts.
Be nice to put in a 240v UK transformer from an old spares machine for instant easy plug in etc.
Be interesting to see what the optical sound is like too.
Might get a 2 blade shutter put in as well if funds allow.
Best Mark.
