Hi this is a last ditch attempt to see if anyone knows of a spares ST160, or st180 spares machne anywhere as need a transformer from one please.
Hoping there may be something in a far flung corner.
Thanks Mark.
PS failing that a very cheap machine would do.

Hi, Mark. Did you ask Bill Parsons?
Posted by Mark Todd (Member # 96) on March 06, 2017, 04:26 AM:
Hi Vidar yes, he did have one but not now sadly.
Best Mark.

In a post just a couple beneath yours James E. Stubbs is offering for sale two Elmo ST-180E projectors. Perhaps not "spares" machines though.
Cheers,
Peter

Hello Mark
Why not ask Adrian Winchester where he got his step down transformer for his USA Eiki from? This would be a much better solution as you would not have to risk fitting mains voltage electrical items and the projector would be usable again quickly and hopefully affordably.

Hi Kevin I can get an OK-ish 500 watt one 110/120 volts from Amazon for £30 delivered.
There is an easy move clip over to 125 volts so may do that.
But
Part of me would like to get the UK proper machine transformer and get Bill P to pop it in and also a 2 blade shutter and rollers and get a mini st1200 if you will !!!
Best Mark.
This could be along term project.
Fellow 8mm forum chaps please keep an eye or ear out.
There must be plenty of old st160`s or 180`s here and there.
Thanks Mark.

Strange. The post I mentioned has vanished. Still on filmshooting.com though...

Hi Peter thanks.
I was really after a transformer from a scrap machine and preferably to keep costs down a bit.
Its only going to be single track whatever I do etc.
It can be a long term project and I can get my son to fit the transformer for me and use as is.
Much better to put some cash towards a nice St1200D really, or HD as soon as I can track one down.
Best Mark.
PS on the st160 note as originally from Japan it only has a 2 pin plug, odd thin thing.
If I fit a UK plug to it I don`t think there is a way or knowing brown or Blue wires if you will.
Does it matter ?
Thanks Mark.
