1 x 200' spool Derann / Walt Disney Productions

This classic Goofy cartoon shows us everything there is to know on how to drive a car. From being a nice man, to becoming a road rage menance from simply getting behind the wheel. Great sound effects, stunning color, and quite simply outrageous as it can be!

Best Booking: With any other movie that also has car chases.

True History: The military was so impressed by this film, they actually used it as a training film when teaching cadets how to drive!!!

My first review of a super 8 film. And I think it was me who suggested we have this part of the forum. :-)

Hmm, I have the "complete" Goofy on a Walt Disney Treasures DVD set, but this one I don't remember being on there. If it turns out I don't have all the Goofy cartoons I'll look out for this one on super-8. [Smile]

Yes Jan & Chip- I also HIGHLY recommend Motor Mania. Even if its on the DVD collection, the quality on this super 8 short is just fantastic, and very funny for large audiences. A reel crowd pleaser [Wink] .

Another excellent Disney cartoon short about cars is "Suzie the Blue Coupe". Not as silly as MM, but humerous, as well as touching. This one is also available from Derann.

Hmm... an IMDB search for "Suzie the blue coupe" brings up a Disney feature film "The Love Bug" ... not exactly a cartoon, although it fits otherwise... huh [Confused] As for MOTOR MANIA, it appears to be on the DVD set indeed. I must not have watched all of it yet! [Eek!]

I just showed this the other night. This cartoon is probably my biggest crowd-pleaser. The thing about this cartoon is that everyone today can relate to road-rage, as it is portrayed and exagerated in this fast-paced cartoon.

The funny thing is, I didn't realize that road rage had been around that long! [Eek!]

Well, I recommend this one (again) & I find new stuff to laugh at everytime I watch it.

P.S.- A great double-feature cartoon with "Suzie the blue coupe", also available from Derann [Wink] .

Didn't "Susie, the Little Blue Coupe" end up going out of copyright? This one, along with a few Donald Ducks, have ended up on countless low budget VHS and DVD collections, which led me to believe that it ended up out of copyright.

Osi
Just checked the Derann web-site Susie The Little Blue Coupe is still available as a new print.

James
I bought a copy of "Motor Mania" from Derann a few years ago its a stunning sharp print cant be better, was "Motor Mania" used as a training film in California back in the 50s? regarding road rage I thought the same thing when watching a Blackhawk print of Laurel and Hardy in the "Two Tars" and that was made way back in 1928, so I guess what we now call road rage might have had a different name to it back in those days [Smile]
