ED WOOD Super 8 Stereo trailer
1994
 -

Without doubt Ed Wood is near the top of my 10 most loved films as this movie tells the fascinating relationship between Ed Wood and Bela Lugosi, the trials and tribulations of film making during Ed’s life. For me it was quite a marvellous movie and being film related made it even more attractive to me, so boy how pleased was I to hear the trailer at long last had become available.

Starring Johnny Depp and Martin Landau amongst many other names this trailer captures the content of the feature perfectly and in pure black and white being printed on B&W acetate film stock. The enjoyment doesn’t stop there as the film comes recorded in stereo sound and in very good quality indeed with a long running length. I have no hesitation in giving this A for picture quality and A for the excellent stereo sound.

Go mad and treat yourself to this great trailer! It is available now from The Reel Image USA.
Perhaps one day we may see a nice 600ft edition of the movie..

I agree Lee,the film was a labour of love from Tim Burton and
showcased what a fine actor Martin Landau is.I find it unfair when
Bela Lugosi's DRACULA is compared to Chris Lee's,as the part is
much like James Bond, where each individual actor brings something of his own to the interpretation, and Christopher did
have colour and the boundary pushing Hammer Films behind him.
To see Lugosi in a really chilling role, watch DARK EYES OF LONDON
When lugosi was given the parts, the man could deliver.
