I know this one already has a thread, thought i would put this up as it's a bit more comprehensive.

Blazing Saddles 1x400ft Warner Bros.
Warner logo, music & titles.
Opens with the scene working on the railroad where the rednecks suggest the worker s sing a song. They sing “I get a kick out of you”. The rednecks sing “Camp town lady” and dance around like a bunch of idiots. Mr Taggart breaks it up reporting quicksand…
Cut to Headley Lamar’s office, Taggart is telling him about Quicksand and the town of Rockridge.

Cut to the town of Rockridge. The soundtrack sings of a peaceful, happy town which is then overrun by bandits. (Some funny scenes). Shows the old woman being beaten up - “have you ever seen such cruelty!”
Cut to the Governor (Mel Brookes) with his bimbo and the narrator voiceover explaining that the Governor has given Headley Lamar the job of appointing a new sheriff to Rockridge. We have the scene where Headley Lamar is talking to himself / the camera.

Cut to Sheriff Bart on his horse riding towards town and the welcoming committee scene up until the scroll springs back up. (We don’t get the bit where Bart takes himself hostage).
Voiceover explains he meets the Waco kid & cuts to the two talking. We get the “yeah but I shoot with that hand” gag & the kid asks Bart what’s his story… we get the scene on the old wagon train when Bart was a boy, and the Indian chief letting them pass.

Cut to the scene of Mr Taggart’s men sat around the campfire farting. They send Mongo into town.
Cut to Mongo riding into town and punching the horse. Man runs into the sheriff’s office to ask for help. “Candygram for Mongo”. BOOM!
Cut to Lamar & Taggart with the voiceover explaining Lamar has his most devious plan so far (a bit of a weird cut this bit, with the voice over you get no real sense from any dialogue from the actors as the scene is so short, but I suppose it keeps the story flowing).

The townsfolk are packed and ready to leave Rockridge. The Sheriff talks them into giving him 24hrs to come up with a plan. (Randolph Scott!)
The Petomane throughway hold up the bandits “Anyone got a Dime?”
The people of the town have built an exact replica of the town, rigged with explosives, that the bandits attack instead. Sheriff Bart pushes the handle on the detonator and the explosives go off – blowing horses way into the sky! (We don’t get the bit where the Waco Kid has to trigger the explosives with his sharp shooting!)
We have the big fight scene in the town,( but don’t get any of the gate-crashing of other film sets or the canteen), then after all that the Sheriff tells the townsfolk he has to move on to wherever there is injustice….
And so, sheriff Bart & the Waco Kid ride away together, to the awaiting car as the music plays and the credits roll.

The film has a good clear picture, although a little red.
The sound level seems a bit lower than some of my other films but is nice and clear.

Overall a pretty good edit, minimal voiceovers were kept short and the story flows reasonably well. I would like to have had a bit more of the Waco Kid in there though! Still, it's a good watch.
