See title of this topic [Big Grin]

I need one of these buggers as the standard 50mm f1.2 lens my Eiki came with projects a much too small image (I have a 6'x8' screen and a throw distance of about 17', but could go up to 20' or so). I understand I can add a zoom converter with a 0.75x-1.25x range but even that would only give me 37.5mm at the low end, still too small. [Frown]

How much is the 25mm lens worth, that is, what is the most I should be paying for one on eBay?

Hi Jan,

I recently sold 2 25mm genuine Eiki lenses on ebay and got $250 each for them. So if you can get one cheaper than that, you're doing o.k.

I think I have some spare lenses kicking around that would be cheaper (they're not genuine Eiki). I think there's a 20mm, a .625 inch (16mm) and a 20-35mm zoom. Email me sts (at) sigel (dot) net if you're interested, and I'll see what I've got...

Someone who just sold one on eBay for £109 has another, which has just been listed.

You might be interested to know the price one would cost new from a UK dealer who still imports lenses and projectors from Eiki in Japan. Current list price is £213.23, which must be about $365. There's also a fairly new design of 12.5mm lens available, which costs a bit more.

Adrian, I think that's the very one I'm watching right now, actually. [Wink]
Interesting bit of info about the current price for new lenses... I'm only mildly interested in a 12.5mm lens, however, since I would have to place the projector rather close to the screen... and the noise coming from it will be more distracting... not to mention keystoning could become a real issue at such short distances (I have my projector somewhat above center, projecting slightly downward onto the screen, because the basement ceiling is rather low).
