16mm Fumeo X900

A lot of people talk about having the various portable projectors that they have Elf, Elmo or Bell & Howells, even the prices that they go for are a bit silly these days.

But I can honestly say for a more professional set up the Fumeo pedestal projector wins hands down amongst all these portable projectors and is the only way to go if room is not an issue for you. Along with a very bright 900watt xenon lamp the picture quality on this machine is outstanding.

The sound stage is very impressive as well as it has a pre-amp stage plus equalizer stage so you can tweak the sound to your listing needs. You have an impressive 40watts of music power.

Plus the nicest thing is that you can show a feature all in one go. You just have to get use to making up and breaking down the feature after you’ve shown it. You can show a feature up to 3hours long depending on the spools you use.

It gives off a rock steady picture from beginning to end and as the projector has a very short film path, your prints are always safe from being scratched or even if the film breaks down to a bad splice or being chewed up. You have a safety device that cuts in and stops the projector running completely.

Robert, are you selling this projector?

Hi Rob,

I agree with all you say there and if I had the room, that's the projector I would have.

Alas....not just at the moment, I'm afraid.

There is another version of fumeo 16mm XBO, and it is a transportable one, with the same spool capacity as the pedestal version and a 500W xenon lamp.
It's twice as big as an Eiki, with external lamp current supply and removable arms.

BTW, Robert have you received the Silma Sonik manual?

It really stung when I had to sell my Fumeo pedestal machine a few years back, but it had to be, thanks to an ended relationship and a lack of space. Boy, do I wish I'd kept hold of it.

Fabrizio,

yes thanks received that scan which was extremely helpful. No unfortunately I won’t be selling it as it’s my pride and joy. Thou I would suggest to anyone who loves watching 16mm like I do is to track one down as you will never look back and more importantly you wont be disappointed.

For me I thought I had the best projector a brand new sealed in the box ELF NT2 late model. Thou I now find myself using the Fumeo when ever I need to put on a show as it never fails to amaze me. Thou I must say hats of to the Italians as they know how to make a good projector take it from me!
