Hi, I have just received a job lot of old movies a Paillard Bolex 16mm and an Eiki RM-1 as a start in 16mm's. Neither projector I am sure has been used for a very long time. I think a good clean up and lube will do the trick and I have already downloaded the manual from film-tech, thank you Brad. However before I embark on this journey into the bowls of my latest prized ( at least it is a prize for me ) acquisition are there any comments?
Cheers, Darryl.

Ah Haaa! I have solved the problem. After reading through the manual I downloaded from film-tech I discovered there is a silent mode. Whoever ran the projector before I bought it ran and left the belts in silent mode position. I am sure that I can find the correct lubricants from previous forum topics in order to continue on my journey. This site is a gold mine of information. [Big Grin]
I also found this site very useful for solving simple Eiki problems. http://users.ncable.net.au/~filmman/Eiki.htm

Wow, where did that Eiki site come from. It's excellent and could come in very useful.

Thanks for posting that, Darryl.
