Hi,

I have had a Siemens 2000 in storage for a while and am just beginning to explore it so may be a regular poster on this topic! The projector came with its manual yet I am finding the machine hard going - for now at least.

Can anyone explain to me how to release the forward arm from 'up' position please?

It was easy to identify the release catch but now the arm is locked upright. The manual says 'push the arm in the direction of the power cable' to release it. I am uneasy about this, does it mean push the arm backwards or push it to the side to release it please? A simple diagram in the manual would have been most welcome here.

Many thanks,

Push to the side means slide the arm on its pivot towards the power cable side till it releases and swings free. [Razz]

Yes thank you Frank - I got there a little while ago [Smile] same for the rear arm.

But I now need to expose the ammeter wiring to check for asbestos - the rest of the projector looks clean.

The wiring is probably visible on removing the frontward control panel boards through which protude the large main setting dial. This panel has only screws (no nuts) to remove but is further held in place by the main dial. Any idea how to shift that dial please?

Once the dial panel has been removed the small side panel nuts are laid bare and they can be removed as well. Then hopefully I can have a gander round the ammeter box.

Help appreciated! [Smile]

Many thanks again,
