So I recently bought a new feature and was cleaning and lubricating it when I noticed some bad splices. As I started to fix the splices I came on a few that were done with scotch tape, and not even the good stuff, lol. One splice had the film overlapping with a big old piece of cloudy, cheap scotch tape. Luckily, I was able to fix everything. It took forever though.

A bit shocking for a feature but you have probably got off lightly, I have dealt with films spliced with electrical insulating tape and masking tape. Can anyone beat that in a "I'll see your masking tape and raise you..." type contest [Wink]

I once received a film that had a splice with a metal staple. I kid you not!!

I think you won Michael unless someone chimes in with a railroad spike.
