I just bought a Bauer P6 Studio projector. The motor and lamp etc all seem to run fine except it is really loud. I suspect it needs lubing and cleaning. Does anyone have the operation/user manual or the service manual?

John,
I have a copy of the operating manual scanned. It's 26 pages, big files. Let me know where I should send it to.

Thanks Charles. I'll send the contact info via private message.

Just a quick mention that some of the early P6,s had asbestos in somewhere. Most are OK so it will probably be fine.
Best Mark.

asbestos is found in very early Bauer P6.
Those projectors have 100V/110V 500W bulb with base/socket: P28s
in their lamp house.
All later modells P6 with 24V 250W bulb without reflector and with reflector are all non-asbestosas well as all bauer P7 and P8

Thanks Josef
Congratulations on the "football" win!
My unit is the second generation P6 Studio...so it should be free of asbestos. BTW Josef, could you check my question to you on the "A Bauer Question" title ( http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=000919 ).
Thanks, John

Hi Arturo,
thank you so much for the links. It has been very kind of you
Anyways, I would love to have operating manual for Studio version of P6 over the Automatic version. Also, I would prefer English version over German one, as I can speak English, while I can't speak German
I hope that Charles Peich can share its copy again or John Romein can share the copy Charles sent to him
Regards,
Riccardo.
