I'm looking for an owner's manual, a copy or otherwise please, for a Fumeo 9217 VIP model for another collector, if anyone has any information on one.

Are you sure that is the correct model number, is it possibly a 9271 instead?

Most of the 16mm Halogen Fumeos share very similar operation instructions so one for a different model or even a Super 8 9119 may suffice.

To find almost anything on a Fumeo is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
In "International Movie Making" Issue 49 of October 2007 there is an interesting article by Ignacio Benedeti Corzo entitled "Living 20 Years with a Fumeo 9145". It seems this Spanish gentleman is quite an authority on Fumeos, he used to have them from Italy on special orders.
Perhaps contact could be made to ask if he has any details on certain models.

Ignacio was something of a connoisseur on many high end machines apparently Maurice, I believe.

I know he wrote a very interesting article on the 708 "Studio" model in International Movie Making also,..among other projectors.

I will continue putting my feelers out for our two interested parties, but I will also relay Kevin's very interesting advice surrounding the basic design and concepts of other Fumeo models, being highly likely to be useful for the 9271 VPI model also! (Only kidding of course). [Big Grin]

Fumeo 9271 is a 16 mm portable film projector. It has mag. and optical playback.
Projection Lamp: Halogen
The VIP-release has 30 Watt (rms) and 45 Watt music power.
It is provided with an additional presence filter - usefull in halls with poor acoustic.
Plus separate bass and trble controls.
Various output sockets.
Former 9251 had 20 Watt (rms), only and other missing features.

I don´t have an user manual for it.
