All I can find are 12 inch boxes for vinyl records. I don't have a lot of films, I just need one or two boxes to store up to 2000ft reels.

That doesn't look like a film storage box to me...Are you sure you posted the right link? It says it's a collapsible toy box.

You can always try to see if one of your local pizza parlors will sell or give you a couple of boxes.

It doesn't look very strong to take the weight of 16mm films on spools. Also, it does not say whether its dimensions (15" x 15" x 16") are internal or external. If the latter they are not large enough. 2000/2200ft spools are just under 15" in diameter.

Yea they don't look strong and they are stretchable. I just need something so I can arrange the reels vertically on a table. I have purchased one and will post a review.

Pizza box is only good for one reel, so I have to have many boxes which is not convenient.

Urbanski doesn't seem to sell storage boxes.

Films should be stored horizontally, this is to distribute their weight equally.
You would be better off to buy some proper cans, either plastic or metal.

Unfortunately that is inconvenient. I would like to arrange them like books so it's easy to take out and put back in. From the photos I've seen on this forum, that is how they do it as well.

Robert, sure many people store them vertically. However, Maurice is right. from my understanding films stored vertically begin to take on a sag as the weight bears down on the bottom portion of the film reel.
