Hi
I have a Bell & Howell TQ1 655QE which gives great results. However, I get a lot of light spill from the lamp house which reflects up and on to the ceiling. I've taken to resting a piece of card under the handle to stop the light (while still allowing space for ventilation) which makes significant improvement. I had a TQ3 that never had this problem, neither does my Elf NT2. Indeed, even my elderly Debrie D16 with its 750 watt lamp doesn't spill this much.
Any thoughts would be welcome
Thanks
Neil

I found that light spill excessive so cut a light guage square of metal about 3 inches square and mounted it via two 10mm metal spacers above the lamphouse grill. Painted black.
This blocks the light spill without restricting the airflow from the lamp.

Thank you David
I may need to consider something along those lines. I did look at the mirror after posting and noticed that there are plenty of scratches etc where light is spilling from so it may be a case of a new mirror.
