I'm after a copy of the full 188 minute cut, ie the KCOP or Salkind International cut, or otherwise the 182 minute cut, ie the ABC cut, which was meant to be released to TV stations in two parts, with part 1 ending on a cliffhanger and part 2 beginning by repeating the complete opening credits followed by a recap of some scenes from part 1 leading up to close to where part 1 finishes, so 196 minutes with 14 minutes being repeated footage.

A copy of this just sold on ebay at a ridiculous price.

Yes I know. I was well outbid. However is $910 all that ridiculous as I only know of maybe two or three other copies, one of which is owned by Jim Bowers of 'CapedWonder', and they're currently being used to produce the 'Superman the Movie Restored KCOP Cut', assuming the project is ever completed. I've got to figure the 16mm TV prints must be fairly rare as the one I was outbid on is the first I've seen come up on eBay in ten years! The only long shot I have is perhaps the Nine Network in Australia which aired the full 188 minute version twice in the early to mid 1990s may have retained the print? but like I said that's a long shot since most likely they had to send it back to the rights holder after the final airing in 1995.

Out of curiosity, is that a flat or a scope print?

The extended cut prints were made in the early 80s for TV broadcast and so exist only as 4:3 prints ie 1.33:1 aspect ratio.
