Is it Paul Wegener's film ? He made a version in 1920 with the complete tittle Der Golem: Wie er in die Welt kam but had made two other versions before : one in 1915 but which is a lost film and one in 1917 Der Golem und die Tänzerin. The version of 1917 is a comedie, the 1920' version is darker.

hello dominique, thanks for your reply. all i know is that i have 60 minute feature der golam, and the scennes and script appear to follow in sequence. the open credit is only one page, in german, with entire credits, and if i recall is 1915 year listed. subtitles are in english overlap the german. the film was received from brooklyn college archive. i cannot seem to find some expert who can determine what 1915 version is about.

Maybe the film needs to be run at 16 fps or 18 fps. 60 mins at sound speed (24 fps), is about 90 mins at silent speed. Just a thought.

I believe what you have is the (1920) Der Golem. I have it as well, but it is 8mm and on 3 400ft reels. I believe the earlier versions are both lost. The spelling is Golem not Golam. You may have a 16mm Griggs Moviedrome print.
