Le Bal (1983)
Directed by Ettore Scola
Complete feature, Flat, Agfa AG-1S, 3 reels.
Print does not have original leader, but has full opening & closing titles/credits.

I saw this film on a trip to Paris when it was first released and I was thrilled that no foreign (to me) language skills were necessary to fully enjoy this comedy.
From The NY Times review: "...a strikingly handsome, very stylized film spectacle that condenses approximately 50 years of European social and political history into one night at the dance hall. ''Le Bal,'' which sometimes recalls the kind of comedy of which Jacques Tati was master, is a series of vignettes in music and dance without a single word of spoken dialogue."

Color: Flesh tones are warm in some scenes, but overall color is decent.

Oh - I love this movie and was looking for it for ages! Where did you get it from?
It's bad timing, because right now I spent my extra money on a Frank Capra classic. Grrr!
At least I know that "Le bal" does exsit in 16mm!
Best regards,
Michael

Michael,

I got this off eBay a few years back. I apologize for my poor timing!
