Surely this is a typo error Franscisco?

Mr. Andrew, I'll check next week. It is a copy from a friend. When you receive will review film. If necessary I will correct the information.
Thanks Mr. Andrew.

I was only referring the price Francisco. £150 maybe? Or really £1500? I suppose somewhere in between would make more sense to someone like me but to be fair, I am absolutely no expert on the 16mm print prices.

The price is right (1500 € and not GBP) I'm not kidding. This copy was purchased on ebay USA several years at a price of over 1200 €. I offer this article freely. Furthermore, it is only possible to get a copy in Germany, new print polyester. But the price is higher than 3000 €. It is to think

Ok Francisco, as I say, I have no idea on 16mm prices, just seemed far higher than any I had ever seen before on here, but at the end of the day, it is a very desirable film on the best stock.

Hi Francisco
I'm Interested in this print if it really is IB Tech. - can you tell me if the start has a paramount logo or a universal logo? The IB prints would have a paramount logo and would have a gray soundtrack. Do you have any pictures that show some frames and the sound track?
Thanks

If I had the money I would buy it. The color scheme that Hitchcock put in this film is well suited for Technicolor. I was just watching Raquel Welch in Technicolor and she never looked so beautiful.

Wow, is this print sold? a real bargain, because if I remember right, many years ago was a print sold for $10000.
This was the most expensive print I ever saw for sale.

Oemer -- The seller withdrew the print from sale - however - I'm 99.9% sure it was not actually an IB Tech print. The dead giveaway is the fact that it has a magnetic soundtrack. Vertigo was only printed in IB at the time of release - around 1959, and then was out of circulation for decades due to legal problems until the 1980s. There is no way a 1959 strike would have a mag track (I've actually never seen any IB prints with mag tracks). On the other hand, around 1983 Universal reissued all of the Paramount hitchcocks and many prints were struck for airline use which all had mag tracks (I've got two of these prints myself).
I asked Francisco to find out if the print had a Paramount logo or a Universal logo - that would be the final nail in the coffin - but he never got back to me.

Ah, ok.
I remember only the final auction on ebay.
Yes, the fact, that it is mag/optical is strange for a old IB print.

The only one I ever saw on ebay sold for $8500 (back in the days when prices were insane - probably around 2002 or so?) -- but it actually was returned due to wear and splices, and then resold for substantially less. I know who has it - but sadly he says it's going vinegar...
