An award winning documentary from 1961 directed by James Hill. With very little wear and vibrant colours, but no end title. Not only did this win an Oscar for documentary short story in 1961 but it was one of the famous 'trade test transmission' films used by BBC2 in the late 1960s to test the first UK colour television channel. Both engineers and sales people used this film, and others, to show people what to expect from the colour service. I teach film and recently showed this to my documentary MA students as part of visual story telling. I love this film, and remember watching it as a chid in the 60s but Im having a clear out, so off it must go. I am asking £85 free UK postage but happy to send overseas. If you have an email address I can forward some screen grabs (no idea how to attach pics here)

Yes I remember watching this film fondly in the late 1960s when BBC2 Colour was being set up. The famous Trade Test Transmission films, of which Giuseppina is one of several (funded by BP) were used by engineers to set up TVs and for sales people to sell/rent the new colour TVs in readiness for BBC 2 in colour and then BBC1 na d ITV going into colour.
I teach film and managed to secure a copy of Giuseppina to show to my second level documentary film making students on how a creative visual story can be told simply and without the need of Red One cameras and after effects.
