Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a superb Christmas, and are looking forward to a happy and prosperous New Year.

I'll come straight to the point.

I have 2 x 16-CL machines, one is a US model with a 3-bladed shutter, the other is a European/UK model with the 2-bladed shutter.

I have many silent 16mm films which require to be run at various different speeds and thanks to Richard Patchett, I now have sufficient motor pulleys to be able to do this.

However, the 2-bladed shutter results (as I'm sure you can imagine) in very pronounced and irritating flicker at any speed slower than 24fps.

Therefore, in order to have complete flexibility between both machines, I am looking for a 3-bladed shutter for the current 2-bladed machine.

NOW - here's the thing! If anyone wants to swap their 3-bladed shutter for a 2-bladed one - there have been lots of posts on this subject - I would be more than happy to oblige. Otherwise I'd be happy to purchase one - are you reading this Richard?

Just as an aside, the Ampro projectors, with their 2-bladed cylindrical shutters, exhibit far less flicker than the Elmo projectors. Can anyone comment?

Best regards to all,

Hi Richard,

Thank you for your response.

I've sent the other Richard a PM requesting his price and shipping.

I'll let you know, but I don't want to create any animosity amongst Forum members, or enter a "Dutch Auction".

Kindest regards as always,

Richard,

Your e-mail address seems to be blocked. I keep getting an "undeliverable" message back. [Confused]

However, please continue with the order, and let me know when you are about to despatch it. [Smile]

With many thanks once again,

Greetings Dave
A few of the UK emails are blocked
I have contacted AT&T (my server) about 8 months ago about this.
They have no ideas whats going on Except that it must be your server at your end. I had the same problum with Kevin F in the UK also.
So lets try my wife's laptop email address

Hello again,

"undeliverable" once more to your wife's laptop!

Very strange. I have a brother and his family who live in Tampa Bay, Florida, and we have no trouble there, so I don't think it is just a UK/USA thing.

Might I suggest that if it is not simply down to your ISP, and that you have had trouble with K F too, then there must be some incompatibility between the different ISPs.

Both ask your ISPs to put you corresponding Domains in their respective whitelists. This will normally cure this sort of problem.
Richards is now added to mine and his emails are getting through.

Hope this helps you both, Kev.

This is a test to see if I get your e mails

I called my server and they unblocked port 25 at my end.

Greetings David

I just called Elmo to see what was taking so long on my last $300.00 Order That I sent in before the year end inventory

They were about to call me I was informed that all orders have been canceled as of Jan 1st and will not be filled.

They are no longer selling 16mm parts for Elmo projectors as Of Jan 1st They told me that back in august.

Even as a dealer They canceled my last order. I'm not a happy camper about this.

As a dealer for Elmo there are setting up a complete list on what parts are still in stock in a few days . That I have a change to buy all of them

At close out

So in return I'm refunding Your PayPal acct for the money you sent to me for the Shutter

Sorry This is beyond my control
