I last night viewed and can not recommend highly enough this brand new 103 minute Filmtek release! We are treated to a potted history of film collecting and its background: Cineavision, PM Films, Classic Home Cinema, Derann Films and the British Film Collectors Conventions, told by those involved, recalling the films, the dealers, the collectors and the day that "Film '86" came to town! Available at £19.99 plus £1.00 post and packing (UK) from Derann. "The Men Behind The Movies" Part One - DVD is still also available at the same price

Hello Gary,

Are these all-region DVDs? Would we region 1 (US/Canada) types be able to partake in the excitement?

Keith makes the dics himself so yes they would be region free. Enjoy.

Kev,

I would think Keith would still have to master an NTSC version, as although these will be region free, that are mastered in PAL, I would suggest asking Keith if he's doing any NTSC copies (unless you have a multi region DVD player, although these are not so common in the U.S.).

I bought both discs at the BFCC and watched them as soon as I returned. This is great stuff, very informative, very enjoyable. Can't wait for part III.

If not available in for region 1, how about a VHS of both volumes. I would still pay full DVD price. Pleeeeeeeez [Smile]

Nick.

If you have a computer with a DVD drive, you're very likely to be able to watch PAL-encoded DVDs as well, dependent on your software player (I use PowerDVD 4.0). Your DVD drive will probably give you the option to change its region code for a limited number of times (after that you'll be locked out, but you may be able to download hacked firmware for your drive which disables the region check altogether) - of course that's not even necessary for Keith's disc, so it's just a software question in this case.

The discs are region free.

NTSC is forthcoming/available by special order.
