For those with bottomless pockets.....Cinema Beta is 'out there' enough, but if you click on 'Cinema Alpha', this is where I would have a Norelco AAII and a 'cakestand', if money really didn't matter:

What to say? Relentless pursuit of perfection, or gluttonous waste in a world such as ours. I am sure there are many opinions.

Estethically, the 'Alpha' room for me at least is 'honest'; it goes all the way and becomes a theatre.
The 'Beta' is more 'equipment porn' with an absoute overload of very fine McIntosh amps on ostentatious display. To me, that's like facing a buffet table with so much food piled up that it just becomes grotesque.

Enjoy (or be appalled.)

I can get a better picture on my GS1200 than what is shown there [Big Grin]

the screen photos of a movie dont look that great a bit red "probabaly a bit of fade" [Smile]

I bet they dont use ceiling paint for the screen either, as for the sound [Eek!]

considering we only have two small eardrums to take all this in, and there is not much chance of that, [Roll Eyes]

I think its a tad overkill, however I did like the valve amp. If they want "reel" quality then they need to install a 35mm "Ernemann 2" mine is still going strong and over 80 years old.

You can equip at home with 35mm for a fraction of the cost and hire first release films direct from the distributors and never spend what this stuff costs.

All I can say is people who really must have this kit are equipment freaks and just watch it performing.As well as having the problem of poor hearing.What gross misrepresentation of personal income.

Never mind that no human being (...or even a dog) can hear the vast majority of that frequency range!

Could be useful for households with bat infestations, or would it attract them?

How would you experience DC as sound anyway? -barometric pressure? Would you get the sudden feeling a storm is on the way while you are watching a movie?

You would think 100,000 Hz would be enough without throwing in that 2.5 kHz on top.

Impressive, yet overkill.
