Just been watching George Lucas on TV talking about his new all animated "Clone Wars". He says he was able to do much more than he could have done with live action even using CGI.

He also mentioned that he is working on a TV series of "Clone Wars".

And we thought the series had finished.

I have been a lifelong STAR WARS fan, and I honestly have to say that I was highly unimpressed with this latest film. I would have hoped that if they were doing it CGI, why didn't they at least do it photo realistically instead of that stylized cartoony look.

I know, it was primarily designed to appeal to a young crowd, (brought up on the "Clone Wars" TV show), but I was highly dis-appointed.

I hope that when Lucas does the new TV show to come out, he doesn't do it in this same cartoony way, but uses real actors.
I've always dreamed of a live action TV show of STAR WARS.

Don't blow it Lucas!

My 2c is that he's lost the charm of storytelling by being too enamored with technological capabilities. Wall-E's non-human characters were more interesting than Lucas' characters in Episodes 1-3, and the new movie and TV show looks to be even worse.

I thought the new Clone Wars was a lot of fun!

Good to hear a positive comment! Maybe it won't be so bad getting the kid out to see it!
