As per title, surly someone can remember this mag from the 70s, I used to get this mag every month and drool over the equipment I couldn't afford, I have googled the title of the mag but can't find anything related apart from the same titled mag about the movie industry. This mag was about the uk amature cine scean back then.Has anyone got any links to it or is my memory playing tricks on me [Confused]
Regards.

I think all of us probably know Movie Maker (later known as 'Making Better Movies' and then finally 'Video Maker' or some such title like that). What did you want to know about it. For example, several of the contributors write for 'International Movie Maker' now.

Rest assured, the magazine existed but finally died out in about 1989/90 in its last incarnation. You'd have liked 'smallformat' but that ceased about a year ago.

John,
You could keep an eye on Ebay - old copies of the magazine turn up there occasionally. I bought three on there about a year ago in excellent condition.

I have a pile of these mags, and I am always flipping through them, looking at the various projectors on sale at the time, they are also interesting to see what titles came out from whom and what year.

I too have a pile of these and use them as a time machine to get back to the 1970s! Superb info and original manufacter's adverts for classic equipment. B & H & Eumig are just two examples.

John if those old "Movie Maker" mags are hard to find look out for "Film Making" as well. I wonder where all those magazines have gone [Roll Eyes] also another interesting publication at the time was the american "Super8 Film Maker" I came close to getting rid of hundreds of those old mags years ago when video came I am glad I didn't.
 -
This next one came with "Film Making"
 -
and finally

Graham.
