I thought it appropriate, given the "gloom and doom" stories about the "Big Yellow K" to add a more positive note.

I decided to order my latest batch of Super-8 Ekta 100D (one box, 20 rolls) directly from them.
I went with regular UPS Ground shipping (about 3 days estimate from NY to DC) but the box nonetheless arrived the following day; it had been sent out immediately.

A problem arose: the paperwork was correct, saying "Ekta" but the stock in the box was Vision3 200-ASA Tungsten Negative...good film, but not what I needed.

After calling Kodak, they re-processed the order and got a new box going even before they received my stock back.

UPS was told to pick up the Vision3 box when dropping off the Ekta, and they overnighted the Ekta; now, one day later, it sits in my fridge.
Many companies wouldn't have managed to send even one package in the 3-day span it took to fulfill this order.

Keep in mind, this was just a $300 order, not someone in LA wanting 10-15,000 feet of 35mm negative.
Comparatively, I am a small potato in a very big field...and yet I got treated as if any delay could be crucial.

That is taking care of your customers!

Good to hear...I order my new film directly from them also and have always had excellent service...sometimes even 1 or 2 carts. I've never been treated any different no matter how small my order is. I hope they continue to sell film for a long time.

Same top service here. I often bought boxes of 20 and found them excellent to deal with. I even had a call a few months ago from the main lady I dealt with saying that it was her last day. It's time to order and try some 100D as I have used up all my other stocks now.

If you haven't tried the 100D yet, I think you will like it. It is a far cry from the grainy bluishness of the "old" Ekta 160.
