This appears to be the lamp for the 8mm Pathescope MK 1X projector which used the new 8 volt 50 watt lamp and was fitted with the Pathe "T" base.

I acknowlege Grahame Newham's web-site for this information.

It is, of course, very similar to the A1/17 lamp, but with a different base.

Hey! I had one of those awhile back! Funny thing, I don't remember ever having a Pathe projector. Perhaps it was used on other brands of projectors? It's possible.

That's the spaceman bulb! I've seen them in other projectors that I had but I can't remember which ones [Confused]

Here is a link to the A1/17 lamp which was used in a large number of projector makes.

http://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/Products/Lamp_A1_17_8v_50w_P30s_CXR_.html

You will note that it has a "skirt" which was not used for the Pathescope projector lamp.

It looks like the CXR, but the one Antoine shows doesn't have the round connector at the bottom. My Sankyo Dualux 1000 takes the standard CXR.
