Just read the length of the new Peter Jackson film The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey, it runs for a whopping 169 minutes, so with adverts and trailers well over 3 hours sitting in a Cinema seat. I know we've all done this length of film in the past, but as none of us are getting any younger, it does get a lot harder each year.
I'm still going to see it of course, but you have been warned of what could be a serious pain in the A***, at the end of the film.

A friend of mine runs a cinema and he told me no adverts with it because of running time. Plus it will interfere with amount of screenings. I hope he is right.

They should have a 15 minute intermission, as it really does pay of $$$$ for the cinema with sales during the break and in particular if you are watching it in "3D"
Graham.
