That was the best seller at Bristol's auction last night of the five feet high Gromit models. This was Pixar's "Gromit Lightyear", complete with transparent head cover. It was shipped from Bristol to Hollywood where Pixar painted and decorated it. It was then returned to Bristol where it and its 80 other mates have been on show all over the city for a few weeks during the summer.

The total auction, which also had world-wide bidders live on the Internet, raised £2.357 million for the 81 lovable other halves of Wallace.

The proceeds will go to the Bristol Children's Hospital Appeal.
