Today's Black Friday lived up to its name. At an ASDA-Walmart store in Bristol at the Cribbs Causeway shopping complex police were called when scuffles broke out among shoppers who were all after cheap television sets. Apparently there were offers of around 70% reductions.

I would never consider gong to a store on "Black Friday ". There are good deals to be had year around. This is a stupid tradition and I'm sorry to hear any retailers in the UK picking up on it.

..on the other hand, I got a samsung s3 mini phone for £99 and a 7" tablet for £49 at my local Asda without too much effort this morning at 8am. two more xmas presents sorted.
