I wasn't able to make it to Stonehenge during my last UK visit, so I made sure I was around NYC for Manhattanhenge.

 -

From Wikipedia - "Manhattanhenge — sometimes referred to as the Manhattan Solstice — is a circumstance which occurs twice a year, during which the setting sun aligns with the east–west streets of the main street grid in the borough of Manhattan in New York City."

 -

The effect is a wonderful glow on the buildings.

 -

It was great to see drivers along busy 57th street stop their cars and get out to enjoy the moment.

From the beginning of time to the modern age. Some things just look good.

Did you know that Stonehenge was created from a stag night out from Barnsley lads SY [Big Grin]

Hi Doug. So is it every 12th of July?
Next year I might be interested to shoot some time lapse but I should find some interesting places to put the camera on.
BTW help/hints are welcome from everybody!
