Hello everyone; I have managed to get 3 kodak (SOUND)moviedecks from e-bay. They will all project an image; but not play back any audio. Was wondering if you had any idea on how to fix this ? I do not have any electronic schematic either; and have asked about this on this forum with no reply. Who knows, maybe the post never showed up for some reason.. If you can help please send me a message.... Best Regards, Tommy

it has been years since I've used one of these if you turn up the volume do you hear any humming or crackling? its odd that three do not have sound.

It's odd if you bought 3 Kodak Moviedeck 285 machines that none are playing sound. What type of film are you trying to play. Are you sure there is a sound strip on the film? Moviedecks although are dual format (Reg. 8mm & Super 8mm) will only play sound on S8...not R8.

If you want to send me one of your reels, I'd be happy to test it for you to determine if the problem is your film or the projectors.
