Hi all, Just a general question about some pictures I've come across scanner my late father's slides, called Kodachrome Transparency, size of actual film in cardboard cover is 50% maybe of a usual slide, when scanned they almost to me look like a snapshot off one frame or so of a 8mm film.

For those who may not know this is what one looks like scanned.

If it is half the usual size it must have been taken with a "Half frame" camera like the Pen F - 72 pictures on a 36 exposure film. this gives frame size the same as original 35mm cine, "Academy" as it is called before part was used for sound.

This was the way John Cura took 72 pictures off screen (he called them Telesnaps) to sell to TV actors and directors in the late 50s to early 70s. Thankfully some of these are records of shows that no longer exist

It could also be 110 film.
