George Formby was a real U.K. performing legend - following on from his dad. I remember seeing a lot of his material on 8mm - does anyone know what features were actually released on 8mm - I know a lot were but would like a full list.

I have a friend who was also George Formby's Godson (an ex theatre manager in his 80's now)...and have listened to some wonderful candid stories about George....also some good recollections of leslie Crowther and Harry H Corbett (Harold from Steptoe).

It is great to have friends like this - memories are precious.

Hi Mark,

I know Derann released "Spare a Copper" and "No Limit" as 4x400ft plus 1x400ft extracts - I believe they released another feature - but not sure what that one was - it may have been "Boots, Boots". Derann also released a 600ft cutdown of " It's in the Air". I do have copies of Spare a Copper, No Limit and It's in the Air - great to see as I've always liked George Formby.

David

One Derann catalogue also has "Off the Dole" as 4x400ft plus 200ft extract "Ukelele Man".

Had the 4x400ft version of No Limit on only last week Brian and David!

Marvellous piece of northern comedy and song from bygone era.
