The BBC are set to screen an interview with Chris lee on Saturday BBC2 called talking movies, and then at 2.00pm screen the hammer version of the Mummy, and later on Dracula, and the curse of Frankenstein. A must for all the hammer horror fans like me, and quite a lot of the forum members. I like this version by hammer of the mummy, and some good make up effects considering how old these are now, enjoy.

Great news,

I was wondering if they were going to - as I fondly remember the late night double bills that the bbc 2 used to put on in the late 1970's.

A worthy tribute to the great man.

Those late night "double bills" were great in the 70's...on Saturdy nights! I have set to record the talking pictures, etc. [Smile]

Incidently, I had a superb 16mm print of "Curse of.." I am sure I sold that to Adrian Winchester and my copy of "! Million Years BC."

Friday night ITV had Appointment With Fear, usually just the one film. LIke you say BBC2 had the double bill seasons.

Still on BBC" can anyone remember the midweek season that tried to recreate a night at the pictures. I think a Newsreel feature and other bits, one the ice lady came down.
