After auditioning 13 times in the last 4 years, my son Darrin finally has booked a co-star on GRIMM. Looks like 13 is a lucky number for him. He'll be flying to Portland, Oregon next weekend...they shoot on Monday the 21st. I have lots of cousins in that area that can't wait for him to visit.
If there are any GRIMM watchers out there...I'll post the episode date and time when I know it.

Thanks guys! Darrin is not only a great son, but he's also a strong supporter of my film hobby. When he comes home we always watch a projected film. He loves them as much as I do.

That's great, I watch Grimm here in New Zealand! Great show

Clinton...I watched the first season and part of the second. I liked it, but I have a hard time watching anything on a regular basis. I tend to binge watch The special effects are very good in this show. Darrin has auditioned for several Wesen characters...but he's normal in this part

That's great Janice, my wife and I have seen every episode. My wife is from Portland so I think that adds to her appreciation of it. Will he be in the upcoming season or the next?

Great news Janice, you must be very proud of him.
Please keep us informed.
Posted by Janice Glesser (Member # 2758) on September 14, 2015, 01:29 AM:
Bryan, it will be in the upcoming Season 5, Episode 7. The new season doesn't start until Oct. 30th. so it will be awhile
Posted by Andrew Woodcock (Member # 3260) on September 14, 2015, 02:27 AM:
Let's hope Darrin can use his persuasive powers in showbiz world to land you your own documentary on vintage film collecting and projector repairs in the 21st Century Janice!
Now that would be one episode worth watching on catch up TV!
Posted by Janice Glesser (Member # 2758) on September 14, 2015, 03:10 PM:
Well Andrew...I don't know how much persuasive powers he has at this point in his career...but, GRIMM did show a hand-cranked projector in Season 1 That was pretty cool!

My son's Grimm shoot went very well. If the show stays on schedule, Darrin's episode (S05E07) should air on Friday, Dec. 11th.

Looks like my son's episode 7 of Grimm is now scheduled for January 22. He's actually doing some ADR work on the episode today.

I look forward to seeing him Janice.

WOW! That's great! At first I though I missed it. I can't wait to watch it. My film career is moving along ok. My biggest role is coming 2016 with Steven Seagal. If all goes as planned, I will have a small supporting role. I can't say the title yet. It's kind of hush right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi Janice,
Nice shot, My Grandsons also go to the brits drama school in Croydon,
I`m glad your boy has got a start in the business, as will already know how tuff the acting business is, so well done & good Luck (break a leg)
James.

@Pat...No you haven't missed his episode 7 yet. The series is taking a break between now and the next episode on Jan. 22nd. We are also still waiting for Darrin's name to be added to the cast list on IMDB
@James...Thank you for the support and yes it's a very tough business. However, Darrin loves what he does and is grateful for every booking he gets.

Looks like GRIMM has changed it's return date again. Now Darrin's episode called "Eve of Destruction" is scheduled to air JANUARY. 29th.

Watch GRIMM tonight
Posted by Janice Glesser (Member # 2758) on January 30, 2016, 11:04 AM:
Last night was an exciting night for Glesser family and friends. Darrin made his TV debut on GRIMM. He did a great job of freaking out when he saw a Wesen (you Grimm watchers know what they are... )
Here he is in action
Posted by Osi Osgood (Member # 424) on January 30, 2016, 02:02 PM:
Oh, I thought he was the scruffy dude who got shot and killed in the jail cell. We watch GRIMM all the time anyhow. Good luck to you're son on his career. Even a small role can open doors.
Posted by Bryan Chernick (Member # 1998) on January 31, 2016, 10:40 AM:
I watched it on the DVR last night, he freaked out pretty good. It was a short but exciting role. Hopefully they bring him back, he has seen a Wesen.
Posted by Janice Glesser (Member # 2758) on January 31, 2016, 12:27 PM:
Thanks Osi and Bryan for the nice comments. Yes, it was a short scene...but lots of action and emotion...not easy. The good news is that Darrin's character didn't get killed...so possibly he could be back
Here are a few fun behind the scenes pics from the day of production.

You must be an extremely proud Mum Janice! Well done Darrin!
No doubt the series will hit UK territory in the next few years. Then I shall look out for him.

I saw it before Janice cause I'm on the east coast. He was awesome!

Thanks Andrew and Pat!!! Of course I'm proud. He works very hard in front and behind the camera. When he comes to visit he loves to watch films from my 8mm and 16mm collection. He totally gets my hobby
Darrin was in two short scenes. Here are the video clips for those who couldn't see the show

Very good Janice.
I luv that program

Just saw him now on that episode of Grimm. As Grimm only screens on pay-tv here in New Zealand I "find" it on the internet usually just after it screens in the USA. This episode I'm watching has the logo in the picture corner of NBC 4 NY.

I watched the clips attached to his IMDB entry. He certainly has the 'comedy kung fu' down pat. I can totally see him in a Ben Stiller type comedy movie. I wish him good luck!

The Darrin Glesser Comedy Reel on YouTube is nice :-) No doubt Janice's son has talent !

Thank you to all who watched and provided such positive feedback. I forwarded this thread to Darrin and he too wanted to thank you for your support.
