Alan Rickman has died at 69 from cancer. A great actor if not a big Hollywood name. Die Hard Robin Hood Harry Potter etc. Especially loved him in Star Trek spoof Galaxy Quest playing a character very close to Spock.

That is sad and at such a relatively young age these days.

A really brilliant actor.

Sad news indeed and only married recently. Such a terrible disease.

What a terrible week this has turned out to be with the loss of three such talented and much loved performers. He had lived with his high school sweetheart for 50 years before secretly marrying her last year. So very sad.

Very sad news yet again today. I can only echo the sentiments above.
What a savage horrible disease this really is.

RIP Alan Rickman, great actor and fellow MCFC fan. You left us with the best action movie ever made, that's quite a legacy.

It really has been a bad week, another talented performer gone.
On a more cheerful note, went to the Marlowe theatre in Canterbury yesterday evening to see Tommy Steele in the stage version of "The Glenn Miller Story" Terrific performance, one of the best shows I have ever seen with a 16 piece Glen Miller orchestra. Tommy plays Glenn Miller and is on stage throughout including singing and dancing, doing two per performances on two days of the week. Pretty good for a 79 year old. Still has that cheeky smile, a strong voice, slightly deeper than it used to be. Amazing!! Ken Finch.

At least we have one more chance to see him on the big screen as his last film 'Eye in the Sky' is being released in April.

I usually watch Die Hard at Christmas but didn't this year. Put it on last night in honour of Alan Rickman. He certainly lifted that film. One of the greatest movie villains.
