How absolutely wonderful.

Some twenty miles from me at the Odeon, Weston-super-Mare, their Compton organ is still in working order and is quite often used early on a Sunday afternoon. This is because the cinema is now four screens and the organ reverberates throughout the entire building!

As a child I lived in Weston and went to the Odeon for Saturday morning pictures, there we used to sing along with the organ, the words being projected from their slide lantern. 4d in the stalls and 7d in the circle.

Some years ago I did do some relief working there whilst it was still 35mm, but unfortunately during that period the organ was not used.
