As you probably all know, Rogue one is out now on Shiney Disc on DVD and BR, not sure about Full 4K HD.

Watched it tonight, and its far better than I expected, really worth a watch, or two, or three, and so on.

You can also ( for the lads ) enjoy your eyes being bathed in Felicity Jones images as well. Very nice.

They are doing a good job on these new ones.

I`m not saying what I watched it on Andrew display wise, but it was 10 feet wide and looked very nice.

Andrew, I saw it on 70mm film. It looks great on the big screen. I can't wait to check out the Blu-ray. The last 30 minutes would make a great Super 8 release.

I thought the movie was good, but the computer generated character of the deceased actor was creepy, and in poor taste in my opinion [Frown]

The Imperial Base on Scarif was beautiful with its waterfalls and beaches. Pity they had to blow it up! An enjoyable film especially the last hour with all the battles that are very well done.

Joe: I like the scene for the way it tied the stories together. I agree that it was a little creepy and I'm not sure I like what it means for the future of movies, - that actors can just be generated. If used sparingly, like it was in this case, I guess I'm OK with it.

Carrie Fisher was still alive at the time the film was made and I think she gave her blessing.

I was fairly impressed with it, as,

they took care to develop most of the main charaters, as well as the incidental characters. For instance, the blind fellow and his aging long haired sidekick. When they died, I actually cared about them, which is good.

I think the only character I really didn't care about as much, was the young lady in the lead. I have nothing against women role models in the STAR WARS universe, far be it, but she just kind of felt "tacked on" to appeal to ladies and really didn't seem to be essential to the story.

I thought this was an excellent use of "dead" stars as well. The CGI "Grand Moff Tarkin" was exellently done, as well as that one shot of Princess Leia at the end and I agree, that last 30 minutes or so was a great rousing view!

I Can hardly wait for STAR WARS 8, "The Last Jedi"!!!!!!

I also liked Rogue One. Technically is was brilliant. I wasn't creeped out at all by the CGI characters. Some have criticized that Grand Moff Tarten was on the screen too long, but we all new he was a CGI character from the start. He was a integral character and decision-maker during the timeline of the story. I was amazed at how far this type of CGI has progressed. It can only get better.
